Do you wish you were employed at a well-respected and expanding organization as an Accounting Clerk? A well-known company in the Richmond, Virginia area is looking for temporary help in their Accounting department. This individual will be responsible for handling filing and paperwork for insurance certificates, in addition to working with customers directly.  A strong sense of communication and organization is necessary, as this person will handle the certificate process from start to finish. Administrative skills are also required.  Responsibilities:

- General ledger experience required 

- Strong familiarity with check processing

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) 

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred 

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks 

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred - Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance 

- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers Job Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
