Job Description

The Sales Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support the Business Development and Client Advising team.  This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new potential clients from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a ability to form an essential prospective client list. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and accomplish a national lead generation plan, aligned with the business units across the division 
  • Generate a qualified list of potential clients that can be used to target via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce Wealth Management Solutions
  • Identify potential clients who are decision makers and interested in engaging a sales representative to hear a capabilities presentation and learn more about our solutions (via phone or face-to-face) 
  • Manage different digital platforms to determine what leads are sales qualified and should transition to Business Development team.  Provide regular feedback to Marketing regarding quality of leads, and participate in developing and refining digital targeting strategies 
  • Upon lead qualification, Lead Generation Specialist coordinates transition to the Master List for the Business Development team
  • Conduct continuous market research to help identify new potential clients – Demographic Targeting
  • Work with the Director and other Executives, to develop and grow the master list to consistently meet quarterly goals
  • Document complete and accurate information on all activities in CRM and have the ability to export the information into an Excel sheet
  • Capture business intelligence through interaction with potential clients 
  • Ensure effective internal communication within Sales, Marketing and Operations 
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and our solutions 
  • Develop knowledge of competitor’s products, prices and service 
  • Drive value beyond expectations every day by helping clients gain insights into their business 

Job Requirements

Required experience and knowledge:

Bachelor’s Degree, scientific or clinical focus preferred 

1-3 years lead generation and/or inside sales experience, preferred 

Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined goals.  A proven track record of building relationships 

Excellent client service skills 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
