Mortgage Opportunities –  Closers and Support Professionals

Job Description:

A large financial institution is currently hiring for Closers and Mortgage Support Professionals. These positions have the opportunity for growth and long term advancement. The opportunities are located in fast paced environments.

Mortgage Support Specialist:

  • In the consumer real estate fulfillment center.
  • Perform activities such as mailing packages, ordering third party requests.
  • Non-pipeline carrying role
  • Verifies customer income documentation
  • Resolves routine title issues including, but not limited to the following: vesting issues, child support liens, judgment liens, mechanic liens and undisclosed liens reconveyances
  • Resolves appraisal disputes
  • Executes closing actions to ensure a timely and effective closing process
  • Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with customers, banking center associates, realtors, etc.


Loan Closer:

  • In the mortgage loan operations center (MLO), coordinates preparation of loan closing packages, including issuance of funds, closing instructions, etc., necessary to ensure the marketability of loans
  • Closing experience must have been utilized within the last 12 months
  • Ability to meet production, quality and service standards along with providing direct coaching and feedback to ensure quality
  • The associate must have 1+ year of RECENT experience as a mortgage closer and be able to think outside of the box to obtain the required information on a retro basis

Job Requirements

Job Requirements: 

  • The ideal candidate has worked in a high volume mortgage environment within the last 12 months.
  • Experience processing in a high volume environment within the last 24 months 
  • or has recent (within the last 24 months) experience in a combination originator/processor position, processing 20+ loans per month.
  • Minimum of 2 years Conventional Loan Processing or Closing experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of credit and an ability to review complex financial documents
  • Ability to assess an individual's creditworthiness while adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ability to make credit recommendations
  • Commitment to teamwork
  • Ability to meet production, quality and service standards along with providing direct coaching and feedback to ensure quality
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment, while practicing sound lending judgment
  • The associate must have 2+ years RECENT experience as a mortgage specialist or closer, and be able to think outside of the box to obtain the required information on a retro basis
  • FHA and VA processing experience
