Job Description:

Our client located in Charlotte, North Carolina is in search for a Senior Accounting Manager.

  • Manage the Quality Control function within Accounting.
  • Ensure the proper recognition and allocation of purchasing volume allowances for the company through analysis and quality control checks
  • Identify and drive process improvements by partnering with Senior Management in Accounting, Finance and Category Development to ensure customer needs are met
  • Manage and develop a team of 2-3 Senior Financial Analysts. Provide career and professional development opportunities to meet individual, department, and company objectives
  • Coordinate with Technical Accounting to develop key training materials
  • Drive and manage communication between Accounting, Finance and Category Development
  • Coordinate and review report deliverables and research inquiries to / from Finance
  • Coordinate and review balance sheet meeting reporting package
  • Act as lead contact for external audit, including managing inquiries and reviewing deliverables
  • Represent Accounting on various Corporate and Field projects
  • Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA a plus
  • CMA or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of accounting experience with 4+ years of management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Access database skills a plus)
  • Strong experience with SAP, Essbase, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with a large company (> $3 billion sales preferred)
  • Ability to manage a team and multiple processes effectively
  • Prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong Accounting knowledge and analytical skills
  • Strategic thinking skills as evidenced by past performance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills
  • Ability to foster solid business partnerships with managers/department heads across multiple disciplines
  • An established reputation for integrity
  • Base Pay: $110,000/year
