Job Description

TRAINER
Charlotte, NC (Uptown)

Function

The Trainer responsibilities include all aspects of training and coordination and administration for the organization both field and office utilizing both local and remote sessions; interfacing and communication with various training resources, Management, Distributors, Customers and Partners on status, schedules, etc.

Responsibility & Authority     
                     
  • Manage training program schedule of classes, including facilities allocation, materials, content developers, instructors, student access and other training logistics, and pre- and post-work communication.
  • Support/coordinate/communicate with trainers, vendors, learners and management.
  • Monitor status and condition of classroom facilities and equipment and update as needed.
  • Report on quality of program deliveries on an ongoing basis.
  • Select and schedule off-site training locations 
  • Interface with various program trainers concerning enrollments, rosters, scheduling and content.
  • Assist in the identification and selection of content developers, 3rd party vendors and trainers.
  • Internal process auditing and innovation of best practices.
  • Distribute marketing and communication materials as needed.
  • Identify problems and root causes, taking a consultative approach to assist with resolution. 
  • Manage, organize and update training program-related processes, procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Manage learner access and webinar events acting as first-line technical support to all attendees.
  • Complete setup and initiation of web-based events, monitor active sessions (including acting as moderator and host, providing polling and whiteboard support, and recording sessions) and escalate technical issues to appropriate support group.
  • Identify opportunities and training partnerships with vendors, colleges and universities.
  • Ability to understand repeatability of trainings and the ability to utilize social media as a training tool.
  • Limited travel required.
  • Will work closely with Safety, Operations, and Human Resources.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with related software (MS Office); design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
  • Strong knowledge of video content development and design for adult learning.
  • Customer focus - proactively finds ways to exceed customer needs.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, logical, problem solving, troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in all modes with customers and peers.
  • Analytical - identifies root causes, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative individually.

Job Requirements

Preferred Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in Adult Education, Training & Development, Organizational development, HR or related discipline
  • Three or more years of adult-training-related experience in a corporate environment
  • Ability to work with both field and corporate employees
